The idea: Kane as a Deep-Lying Forward drags the opposing centre-back out, and the inside wingers run into the space he leaves. You need a striker with high Passing and Composure, a Deep-Lying Playmaker who spots the through ball, and wingers with Pace and Off the Ball.
What FM26 can't copy: FM26's man-marking AI rarely follows a striker as far as Chabot followed Kane, so the space behind will open less often than it did here.

What if? Replay it with a different plan

VfB Stuttgart pressed man-to-man, and the equaliser came from a spell in which FC Bayern München couldn't get out. Bischof receives on the half-turn and shoots from distance, so he gives the press a problem it can't solve by marking: take the ball under pressure and hit it from 20 metres.

The best thing about this win was the three minutes after the equaliser.
Five goals from 4.06 xG is roughly what the chances deserved, and one of the five was an own goal. Undav said it could have been eight or nine without Bredlow. It was not a flattering scoreline, and VfB Stuttgart's 0.79 xG was also about right: a bar in the first ten minutes, a scramble goal, not much else.
The interesting part is how the game was won. VfB Stuttgart man-marked, so FC Bayern München's free player had to come from somewhere else. Kane made one by dragging Chabot out of the back line, and Kimmich was the one who used it. When Stuttgart equalised, Bayern did not panic or go long: Kimmich won the next loose ball and put Olise through within three minutes, and the own goal followed within six.
The bench mattered too. Saibari came on for Brown at 61' and made two goals on his Bundesliga debut, both by turning past a marker in or near the box. Against man-marking, a player who can spin his man is worth more than a clever passer. Kim Min-jae played 84 minutes next to Upamecano and was booked late. That made it two starts in FC Bayern München's first two competitive games, once next to Tah and once next to Upamecano.
